Old Town Farm holiday cottages are situated on a working farm, 1 mile south of Otterburn in the Rede Valley. Both cottages enjoy uninterrupted views, dark skies and starry nights and the promise of a relaxing break in one of the most unspoilt parts of the UK. Cheviot hills - fabulous walking on National Park trails. No army exercises and firing during lambing season (April), limited access at other times of year.
Excellent cycling on range roads - observe red flag and firing! We had a very relaxing two weeks at the Hemmel, at Old Town Farm in Otterburn. The cottage is lovely, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well-proportioned and as a family of four it was plenty big enough.
